Bleakley Hosted First Annual Women's Wealth and Wellness Summit

On May 15, 2019, Bleakley Financial Group hosted our first annual Women’s Wealth and Wellness Summit at Crestmont Country Club in West Orange, NJ. Our team, along with clients and guests, came together in support of Oasis – A Haven for Women and Children, located in Paterson, NJ. The group raised $10,000 for the private charity and collected over 36 bags of women’s clothing and accessories as well as 25 bags of food for the women who look to the facility for assistance.
The event included talks by nutritionist, Shari Boockvar, MS, RDN; Life Coach, Marlene Carpena and women’s finance specialist, Jenine Garrelick, CIMA®. The information was tailored to educate our female clients and guests on health, mindfulness and financial wellness issues.
As the event took place just a few days after Mother’s Day the partnership with Oasis was a perfect fit and allowed our firm to support an outstanding local organization committed to improving the lives of women and children in need.

About Oasis:
Oasis founders, Ann Wagner and Christine DeVita Breit, opened their doors at 320 Main Street in 1997, to provide meal services to poor women and children. At that time, women and children living in poverty in Paterson, New Jersey did not have access to a soup kitchen for a daily hot meal.
By 2007, they had outgrown the church basement we occupied and initiated a capital campaign to fund a new building capable of housing our vastly expanded programs, while providing the opportunity for future growth.
Soon after, they moved into the beautiful building we now occupy at 59 Mill Street, allowing them the capacity to grow and meet the needs of women and children in our community.
